Scout-O-Rama is the annual trade show of Scouting in Orange County that is attended by over 30,000 people. Scouts and their families enjoy a fun-filled day of exhibits, competitions and displays. Some popular events from recent years include Dutch-oven cooking demonstrations, rock wall climbing, water rocket launches and BMX bicycle shows. Local packs, troops, teams and crews can participate in the Scout-O-Rama event by displaying a booth, or giving service hours.
You don’t have to be a Cub Scout or Boy Scout to enjoy the festivities. Most people bring the whole family and the siblings of scouts have a great time too. Of course if you’re considering joining scouts, this is a good place to check it out.
A Scout-O-Rama ticket costs $10 and admits the whole family. It comes in a booklet along with a $10 Ralphs Grocery Store coupon, so if you use the coupon the admission ticket is essentially free. You can get a ticket booklet from scouts, who are selling them as a fundraiser.
Scout-O-Rama takes place 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Saturday, May 16th at Oak Canyon Park (5305 Santiago Canyon Drive, Silverado, CA 92676).
