Enjoy a morning of animation on the big screen with advanced screenings of newly created Nickelodeon animated episodes of Dora The Explorer, Go, Diego, Go! and Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. Following the screenings, children are invited to join Nickelodeon artists for a Ni Hao, Kai-Lan character drawing session.

Celebrate 10 years of SpongeBob SquarePants at the Newport Beach Film Festival with special screenings of SpongeBob SquarePants episodes. Following the screenings, children are invited to join Nickelodeon artists for a SpongeBob SquarePants character drawing session.

A community event celebrating diversity among friends and neighbors. This is a FREE family event to celebrate the community. FREE food, live music, games, and MUCH MORE!

Newport Beach Public Library Saturday, Apr 25 1:30-4pm / FREE, Newport Beach
As part of the 2009 Newport Beach Film Festival, NBPL will host "Handmade Puppet Dreams for Families," a collection of puppet film shorts for young people ages 2 and up, created by independent artists exploring their handmade craft specifically for the camera. Following the film screening, puppeteer Alan Cook and the International Puppet Museum in Pasadena, California, will lead an interactive, introductory workshop on shadow puppetry, designed to spark young people's imagination.

Spring Festival at Shipley Nature Center, Saturday, April 25, 9AM to 2PM, Huntington Beach, The Friends of Shipley Nature Center will host the Third Annual Spring Festival. Admission is free. The day’s activities will begin at 9 am with a Continental Breakfast, a California Native Plant Sale and the opening of the nature friendly Information Fair.
