Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort will host its 17th annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza celebration Saturday, April 11 through Sunday, April 12. The weekend of family events will include a hunt for more than 5,000 Easter eggs hidden on the beach, visits from the Easter Bunny, a kid’s train ride, bounce house, craft sessions, cottontail bike parade and a Champagne brunch.
Festivities will kick off on Friday, April 10 with a morning egg decorating session where youngsters can dye, glitter and paint thousands of Easter eggs.
- Children will be encouraged to decorate their own baskets and bonnets using flowers, seashells, ribbons and other materials. Additional baskets, bonnets and visors will be available for sale.
- On Saturday, April 11, guests may start the day with a pancake breakfast complete all the trimmings before heading off to a massive Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. Children of RV guests will be invited to search the resort’s beachfront for more than 5,000 eggs. Scattered among the sandy shores will be several “hidden treasure” eggs containing cash as well as a special egg redeemable for a brand new bicycle.
- On Easter Sunday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., an extravagant champagne brunch will be served at the Dunes’ all-new Back Bay Bistro. The brunch will feature an array of vegetable, fresh fruit and pasta salads; jumbo create-your-own omelets; Belgian waffles; pasta; and succulent ham, turkey and prime rib. - Easter festivities will conclude with a Cottontail Bike Parade where guests can decorate their bikes and take part in an afternoon group ride around scenic Newport Bay.
