I have to write and tell you how impressed I was by this event. I went two months in a row, and had a wonderful experience both times! Check out their website for all the background info, but in OC, they turn the Shark Club in Costa Mesa into a kid/family friendly "night club" from 2-5pm. It really adds to the whole experience that someone parks your car, you get a wristband (to match with your kid) after having your name checked on the list. They had a DJ spinning awesome tunes, bubble machines, shakers and scarfs and hula hoops for the kids to dance with, face painting, story time, a select few vendors, chill out area, massages for the parents, every snack and juice imaginable (included in $15 ticket)....and...this may shock some, the bar was definitely OPEN! I would try to get there early, and don't bring a lot of stuff - you will be needing both hands to keep a hold of your kid, and you'll be dancing too, so you won't want a lot of baggage! I think kids that are between 2 and 6 would probably get the most out of it.
